Cars swept like toys amidst catastrophic floods in northern India
Torrential rainfalls have ravaged northern India’s Himachal Pradesh, resulting in massive and powerful floods that swept cars away like toys.
The incident took place in the Manali district, and a video capturing the scene went viral on August 6.
Visuals highlighted the extreme force and destruction of the floods, which severely damaged the region’s infrastructure. The intensity of the flood was such that cars were carried away as if they were mere toys. Locals present were both distressed and astonished by the scale of the disaster.
According to reports, Himachal Pradesh is now facing damages exceeding 700 crore rupees due to the severe floods and heavy rainfall. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu revealed that since June 27, 2024, the losses have included significant damage to infrastructure and other assets.
