A tragic incident unfolded in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh when a car driver ran over a young girl playing with her mother outside their home.

The incident took place in Sector 63 A, B Block, Noida on June 28.

Visuals showed a mother and her daughter were playing by the roadside when a car turned the corner. While making the turn, the car ran over the little girl and continued a short distance before stopping. The mother quickly picked up her injured daughter, and nearby people rushed to the scene. The car driver stepped out to see what had happened. The surrounding crowd appeared visibly angry at the driver. The driver offered to take the mother and child to the hospital and helped them into the car, but the mother then got out again.

The girl sustained serious injuries and was swiftly admitted to Kailash Hospital by her family.

The Noida Police Commissionerate’s media cell reported that the accident occurred late Friday night in the Sector 63 area. The police were alerted to the incident through social media.

Acting promptly, Sector 63 police have registered a case and initiated further investigation. The car involved in the accident has been identified, and teams have been formed to apprehend the driver. Efforts are also being made to ensure the child receives the best possible medical treatment at the hospital.
