Burqa-clad assailants attack jewelry shop owner, steal gold in southern India
Two assailants dressed in burqas attacked the owner of a jewelry shop in southern India’s Telangana and stole gold after stabbing him with a knife.
The incident took place at Jagadamba Jewelry Shop in Medchal in Hyderabad district on June 20.
Visuals showed two individuals, one wearing a burqa and the other a helmet, enter a gold shop. Inside, the person in the burqa pulls out a knife from the bag and injures the shop owner. A helper, sitting nearby, runs inside in fear. Despite his injury, the owner bravely escapes outside and starts shouting for help. Panicked, the two assailants also move outside, attempting to intimidate the owner further before eventually fleeing the scene.
According to reports the two unidentified individuals wearing burqas entered Jagadamba Jewelry Shop in Medchal town, Hyderabad. CCTV footage reveals that they attacked the shop owner by stabbing him below the neck with a knife before fleeing with the gold.
The local police have registered a case and are actively searching for the culprits involved in this brazen robbery.
