Brutal treatment of dogs: allegations surface after canines forced into sacks and beaten in northern India

Outrage erupts in northern India’s Punjab as residents accuse unidentified individuals of forcibly capturing several dogs, stuffing them into sacks, and subjecting them to severe abuse before their disappearance.

 

The incident took place in Gali No. 3 and 4 of Pratap Colony in Samana Town in Patiala district on June 23.

Visuals showed in a street, some heartless individuals forcibly captured dogs, stuffed them into sacks, and then brutally beat them.

 

Shock and outrage gripped the community after a gruesome act against stray dogs. According to witnesses, a group of unidentified individuals rounded up 7 to 8 dogs, confined them in sacks, and brutally assaulted them before their whereabouts became unknown. Concerned citizens suspect the dogs may have been killed in addition to being beaten.

 

Local authorities have been urged to investigate the incident promptly, with residents calling for strict action against those responsible.

 

The incident has sparked calls for justice on social media, with netizens demanding accountability and humane treatment of animals. Animal rights activists have also voiced their concern, emphasizing the need for stronger laws to prevent such incidents in the future.
