Brazen ATM heist caught on CCTV in northern India: thieves steal cash twice in one day
In a shocking ATM heist in Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur district, two thieves were caught on camera stealing cash from a private company’s ATM twice in one day. Despite the viral footage, the company has yet to file an official complaint, leaving the total amount of stolen cash unknown.
The incident took place near the bus stand in Bharua Sumerpur in Hamirpur district on September 19.
Visuals showed two men arriving at the ATM booth. While one kept watch outside, the other entered the booth, inserted an ATM card, and then used a key from his pocket to unlock the machine. The same individual enters the booth again at 4:43 PM.
Local police have begun an investigation, but no formal complaint has been filed by the ATM company, making it difficult to ascertain how much money was stolen.
This daring robbery took place when two men managed to break into an ATM and steal an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident only came to light after CCTV footage of the theft went viral on social media.
According to the police, without a formal report from the company, it remains unclear how much cash was taken. Investigations are underway, and authorities are urging the company to provide details to help expedite the process.
This brazen theft has raised concerns about the security of ATMs, especially in remote areas. The police have urged people to report suspicious activities immediately.
