Brave man rescues stray dog from floodwaters amid cyclone Fengal
A heartwarming act of kindness occurred when a man rescued a stray dog trapped in floodwaters caused by Cyclone Fengal.
The incident took place in Puducherry City, Tamil Nadu in southern India on December 1.
Visual shows a street dog stranded in a flooded area, unable to escape. Shortly after, a man bravely came to its aid and lifted the dog to safety.
According to reports from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicate that Cyclone Fengal brought 460 mm of rain to Puducherry, the highest rainfall the Union Territory has experienced.
After lingering for over two days, Cyclone Fengal moved closer to land, reaching 120 km east of Puducherry, 110 km southeast of Chennai, and 200 km northeast of Nagapattinam early on Sunday. The Met Department has forecast that heavy rainfall will continue in Tamil Nadu until December 2.
