Blast destroys upper part of building in northern India

A massive explosion took place due to a suspected cylinder blast which blew away the top half of the building in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.
This incident happened in Jerkila, Kannauj city on May 26.
Visuals showed a huge group of people in the area where this happened. The people were engaged in removing the debris from the spot. Such was the intensity of the explosion that according to a report, the roof of the house was flown 300 metres away. Nearby houses were also damaged. Fortunately, the family members were not present inside the house when this accident took place. It has also been reported that this happened because of explosive material kept inside the house.
The police and forensic team are investigating the matter after they reached the spot. The owner of the house has been reported to be Mohammad Arshad, who is involved with the fireworks business. Arshad’s brothers live in different parts of the house.
