Bizarre! Bridge constructed in middle of field without connecting road in northern India
In a perplexing incident in northern India’s Bihar, a bridge has been constructed in the middle of a field, leaving villagers bewildered.
The incident took place in Parmanandpur village of Raniganj block and the video went viral on August 6.
Visuals show the bridge standing incongruously in a field, with villagers expressing their confusion and frustration.
According to reports, the Rural Works Department allocated Rs 3 crore for the bridge and road. However, while the bridge was built, no government land remains for the road or approach path. Villagers speculate that the scheme may have involved collusion between officials and contractors, aiming to misappropriate funds. Now, this bridge without connecting roads has become a major problem for the administration.
Villagers are left questioning the utility of the bridge, with no accessible roads leading to it. The lack of planning and foresight has turned this infrastructure project into a glaring example of mismanagement and potential corruption.
