Bike romance caught on busy road in southern India, rider arrested
A couple in southern India’s Karnataka engaged in a risky and public display of affection (PDA) while riding a motorcycle on a busy road, prompting the city police to take action against the rider and arrest him.
The visuals showed the couple closely hugging each other, with the woman positioned one-sided on the biker’s lap with her hands wrapped around his neck instead of the usual seating arrangement.The incident, which also involved riding without helmets, has prompted calls for action from authorities.
After being filmed and shared on social media, the footage went viral trying to draw the attention of police officials to take necessary action. Responding to the video, Hebbal Traffic Police reportedly tracked the vehicle number and arrested the accused.
The Yelahanka Traffic Police have arrested the accused 21-year-old bike rider and fined him for dangerous bike riding on the busy road. There are reports that the bike rider and the girl are going to get married soon, and the man wanted to impress the girl by making her sit on the fuel tank of the bike and perform the dangerous stunt.
