Bike rider brutally attacked in public by masked youths in northern India

A shocking incident of public violence has emerged from northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in Ghazipur district and the video went viral on July 12.

Visuals showed several young men with their faces covered, mercilessly beating a bike rider with sticks.

According to reports,the victim, identified as Ravikant Singh, was stopped and assaulted on the road near Pyarepur village in the Bahriabad area.

According to the victim, Ravikant Singh, he was targeted by Himanshu Yadav, a former colleague, and three others. Ravikant, who sells mobile SIM cards, stated that Himanshu had previously threatened him after being dismissed from their company. On the fateful day Himanshu’s friend lured Ravikant under the guise of needing help with SIM cards, only for Ravikant to be ambushed and beaten with sticks, bricks, stones, and hockey sticks.

Local police have registered a case following Ravikant’s complaint and have taken some individuals into custody for questioning. ASP Gyanendra Kumar confirmed that an FIR has been lodged and further investigation is underway.
