Bear enters factory in search of water in northern India
A bear had strayed into a sleeper factory in search of water and its presence stirred up panic among the locals in northern India’s Uttarakhand.
This incident happened in Lalkuan, Nainital district on April 25.
Visuals showed the bear taking a stroll near a water body in the factory premises. It was night time and there wasn’t anyone present at the spot where the wild animal was roaming. There were people who were following the wild bear and shouted which prompted the animal to run away from the area. As per a report, there was panic among the employees of the factory as the bear was spotted and they informed the forest department about the animal’s presence. Later on, Gaula Range Forest Officer Chandan Singh Adhikari arrived at the spot to capture the animal. This is the second time that a bear was rescued from this area.
