Baby with four arms, legs born in northern India; villagers call it divine incarnation
In a remarkable incident in northern India’s Bihar, a baby boy was born with four arms, four legs, and three ears, leading villagers to describe the child as a divine incarnation.
The incident took place in the Bhargama block of Araria district on October 13.
Visuals showed the child placed on a cloth while a woman held the baby, revealing its unique arms and legs, which drew a crowd in awe. Locals were seen marveling at the child, likening the newborn to a Hindu mythological deity due to its physical resemblance and rarity.
According to reports, the mother, Sulekha Devi, a resident of Rahdia village, delivered the baby at Raniganj Community Hospital. Despite medical experts explaining that such births, though rare, are known in medical science, the baby passed away shortly after birth. Nevertheless, the family continues to worship the child, and villagers are flocking to the family’s home, describing the birth as a divine miracle. The incident occurred just after the immersion of Maa Durga, further solidifying local beliefs in the child’s divine connection.
