Protests erupted in Bangladesh following the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu, a prominent Hindu leader associated with the Sammilita Sanatani Jote.

The incident took place in the Chittagong area of Dhaka city on November 25.

During these events, several protestors sustained injuries after being attacked by unidentified individuals. Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu, also referred to as Sri Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu has been a vocal advocate for Hindu minority rights in Bangladesh and a monk at an ISKCON temple. His arrest is linked to allegations of disrespecting the Bangladeshi flag during a rally he addressed in October. Prabhu was detained by the Dhaka Police’s Detective Branch.
