Armed criminals loot micro finance company in northern India, open fire on five personnel in daylight heist
In a daring daylight robbery in northern India’s Bihar, criminals looted 4,170 US dollars (3.5 lakh rupees) from a microfinance company, leaving five people, including the proprietor, seriously injured after they resisted.
The incident took place in IBM Future Nidhi of Gaya district on October 2.
Visuals showed the armed criminals brandishing weapons as they stormed into the microfinance company, forcefully threatening staff and customers while swiftly looting valuables and cash from the premises.
According to reports, when the company’s proprietor, Ranvijay Prasad, and others resisted, five people were shot and seriously injured. After the robbery, the criminals fled on motorbikes, with two heading toward the Manpur market and the third disappearing onto Teusa Road.
SSP Ashish Bharti confirmed that a robbery occurred at the finance company in Khanjaha Pur. The police are actively investigating, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to handle the case. Bharti assured that the criminals will be apprehended soon. Four people were injured in the firing, one of whom has been referred to another hospital, while the others are still undergoing treatment at Magadh Medical College.
