Alert cop rescues passenger who fell while boarding moving train

In a showcase of bravery, a vigilant Railway Protection Force cop came to the aid of a man who had slipped while boarding a moving train.

The incident took place in Jolarpettai, in Tirupattur district, in southern India’s Tamil Nadu on February 2.

Visuals show a man attempting to board a moving train when, unexpectedly, he stumbles and falls perilously close to the gap between the train and the platform.

 

Just as the situation seems dire, a quick-thinking RPF personnel, along with a few nearby passengers, rush to his aid.

In a split second, they pull the struggling man to safety, averting what could have been a tragic accident. The victim was rushed to the ambulance.

Speaking to Newslions, RPF Inspector Nikhil Kumar Gupta praised Sri Selva Kumar, Head Constable of the Railway Protection Force in Jolarpettai, for his remarkable bravery and quick thinking while on duty.

He successfully rescued Shri Upplav Mehta, a 45-year-old passenger from West Bengal, preventing a potential tragedy and saving his life.
