The incident reportedly happened at Virar junction in Palghar district on January 12.
CCTV footage showed the woman, who was later identified as a 27-year-old named Neha Ankesh Mishra losing control and falling from the moving train. But the Railway Protection Force (RPF) head constable Yamini Kant Mishra instantly pulled her out of harm’s way and prevented her from going into the gap between the train and the platform.
The lady was then made to sit, given first aid for a minor back injury. The woman’s family later came to take her home after they were informed about this accident.
