Southern India’s Karnataka grappled with flooding aftermath as intense overnight rain paralyzes city, marking lowest max temp since March.
The incident took place on the Kempegowda International Airport road in Bengaluru between Hebbal & the airport on May 10.
Visuals showed the road is heavily flooded after the rain, causing significant traffic disruptions.
Bengaluru, the bustling tech hub of Karnataka, found itself inundated once again as relentless overnight rain pounded the city, causing widespread chaos and disruption. With the maximum temperature plummeting to 31.9°C, the lowest recorded since March, residents welcomed the respite from the scorching heat but were met with a deluge of problems.
Water logging brought night-time traffic to a standstill, with severe inundation leading to uprooted trees, leakages in buildings, and significant holdups in several areas.
The city’s infrastructure struggled to cope with the onslaught of rain, highlighting the urgent need for improved drainage systems and disaster preparedness measures. As authorities work to restore normalcy, residents remain vigilant amidst forecasts of further rainfall in the coming days.
