Massive fire breaks out after hydraulic machine accidentally uproots gas pipeline in central India

A massive fire broke out in central India’s Maharashtra after a hydraulic machine accidentally uprooted a gas pipeline, leading to four people getting injured.

This incident happened in Nalasopara area of Palghar district on April 30.

Visuals from the spot of the accident showed fire erupting after the hydraulic machine struck the gas pipeline, uprooting it. The hydraulic machine moved away from the spot as soon as the flames broke out with the blaze engulfing the Dwarka hotel, located in the ground floor of the building. The fire burnt with a lot of intensity and passers-by were thrown into panic as soon as the incident took place.

According to a report, the hydraulic machine, which was being operated upon by civic officials, accidentally uprooted a gas pipeline and widened a drain. The fire led to four people sustaining serious burn injuries. The four victims were identified as Sundar B. Shetty (62), Gopal S Bangera (70), Chandra Magarkar (45) and Raja Kumar Shah (27) who were rushed for treatment. Gopal S Bangera was said to be in a critical condition. Fire engines were deployed which quickly put out the flames.
