Shocking! Elderly woman dragged on road as she tried to fend off theft attempt in northern India
by Surya PrakashIn a shocking incident, an elderly woman was dragged on the road as she held on to her purse which was being snatched by a couple of thieves on a bike, in northern India’s Punjab.
This incident happened in Mota Singh Nagar area of Jalandhar district on April 17.
CCTV footage captured the chilling visuals of the lady being dragged across the road. The woman held onto her purse which was grabbed by the pillion rider and the bike swiveled on the road, causing her to be dragged in a very nasty manner. She also seemingly took a blow to her head which was dragged against the road as the tussle between her and the pillion rider continued for her purse. In the end, the bikers overpowered her and fled with the purse while the woman laid on the ground, helpless and in pain. She however managed to crawl over to the other side of the road and was seemingly seen trying to stop a vehicle which came from the opposite end. The woman, as per a report, is yet to file a police complaint.
