Demonstrators from several factories gathered near Signboard and National University Road from the morning of November 4. They occupied key roads and disrupted traffic. Police later fired tear gas to disperse the protesters and clear the blockades.

Industrial Police Superintendent Mohammad Amzad Hossain said officers tried to convince workers to leave the roads peacefully. However, they resorted to tear gas after protesters refused to move. He added that similar demonstrations occurred across Gazipur on Tuesday. Security forces continue monitoring the industrial belt.
