Visuals show Vyas tying a turban at remarkable speed under a colourful shed, showcasing Rajasthani culture. As the turban grew larger by the minute, the audience eagerly watched. When the turban was finally wrapped, the crowd erupted in cheers, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere. Following the achievement, Vyas was presented with a certificate by the event’s authorities.
Speaking to Newslions, Vyas explained that the event was organised jointly by the Tourism Department and Bikaner District Administration. The festivities began at the Nagar Seth Lakshminath Temple, where Vyas set the world record by tying a 2025-foot-long turban in 20 minutes and 32 seconds. The turban, weighing 25 kg, was tied on the head of Sri Rahul Shankar Thanvi. The event drew large crowds of both domestic and international visitors, eager to witness the world record.
To officially verify the record, Pratham Bhalla, a representative from the World Book of Records, London, was present. After the achievement, the District Collector, Namrata Vrishni, Municipal Commissioner Mayank Manish, Tourism Officer Anil Rathore, and other officials attended the event. Bhalla later presented Vyas with a certificate to commemorate the achievement.
Vyas shared that his family has long been committed to preserving the turban-tying tradition, with great pride and respect for their culture. Their aim is to protect this cultural practice and ensure its continued relevance for future generations.
