Leopard rescued after it falls into well in western India
A leopard was rescued after it fell into a well in western India’s Gujarat.
This incident happened in Vyara town of Tapi district on July 7.
Visuals showed the leopard inside the well as efforts to rescue it were ongoing. The big cat swam around in the water and a cot was lowered into the well by the forest department for it to hop on and be saved. But the mission wasn’t as easy as it sounds. The challenge was to have the leopard on the cot for the time needed for it to be pulled out of the well.
But it didn’t seem to go as per plan at least as per the initial efforts which saw the big cat fall into the water. But after a lot of effort, the forest department officials were finally able to save the leopard and take it out of the water. The wild animal held on to the cot before it was pulled out of the water. The leopard could then be seen running away swiftly into the wild after being saved.
