Rescue team saves Horse from water-filled pit, no injuries sustained

In a dramatic rescue, a horse was saved by a private team after falling into a pit filled with water.

The rescue took place in Shahdol city, in northern India’s Madhya Pradesh, on January 27.

Visuals show the horse trapped in the water-filled pit at night, while the team attempts to rescue it using ropes and flashlights in the dark. Two people are pulling the horse with two ropes, one wrapped around its body and the other around its forelimb. The horse tries to free itself as several people assist in pulling the ropes. The animal shakes its body to get out, causing one of the rescuers to almost fall. After much struggle, the team successfully pulls the horse out of the pit. The horse immediately runs away from the spot after the rescue.

Later, the horse appears fine as it moves near the road after the rescue.

According to sources, the rescue was led by Gaurav Ralhi Mishra from Atal Kaamadhenu Gausewa Sansthan, along with others and lasted for around 30 minutes.
