Satellite payload balloon machine falls from sky, sparks curiosity in villagers

A huge payload balloon attached to a machine with a blinking red light fell on a house from the sky, leaving the villagers dreaded.

The balloon fell from the sky on a house in Jalsangvi village, in Bidar district, in southern India’s Karnataka on January 18.

 

 

Visuals show a huge machine being checked by police while the villagers watch them in curiosity. The balloon, still attached to the machine, landed on a nearby tree. A person is seen noticing a letter attached to the machine. The villagers are shocked.

 

 

According to reports, the letter attached to the machine mentioned that the payload balloon was sent by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), written in Kannada. TIFR is a National Centre under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India located in Hyderabad state. The balloon was allegedly sent for a study of the atmosphere.

The police visited and checked the machine swiftly after receiving the information. The authorities assured the public that there is no threat to public safety. The TIFR team has yet to collect the equipment from the village.
