Wild tusker attacks vehicle, spreads panic among locals
A wild tusker blocked the road at night and attacked a vehicle. This created a state of panic among the locals.
The shocking incident happened in southern India’s Kerala, in Munnar town, one of south India’s most popular tourist destinations, on January 15.
Footage showed a wild elephant with sharp tusks blocking the road in front of a vehicle full of people. The crowd is seen complaining about a car stopped behind the tusker, which is not moving. A man advises the driver to stop and turn off the headlight as the elephant approaches. Meanwhile, the driver begins to reverse. The elephant attacked the vehicle before the vigilant driver found a way to escape the mishap.
The elephant is allegedly the Padayappa elephant, a wild elephant that can be found in Munnar town. It is known for its frequent appearances in residential areas.
