Visuals show four individuals trapped in a frozen lake, including two women, calling out for assistance. The tourists were observed struggling and pleading for help as they remained ensnared in the icy water, while fellow travelers were seen coming to their aid. Quick-thinking tourists utilized bamboo sticks to pull each person to safety, one by one.
Speaking to Newslions, Hakraso Kri, Additional Deputy Commissioner at Jang in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, stated that tourists were advised to equip themselves with warm clothing, emergency kits, and reliable communication devices as a precautionary measure against unexpected situations. The advisory also warned against stepping onto frozen lakes, as the ice may be too thin and unstable, posing serious safety risks. Tourists are urged to avoid such activities and prioritize safety.
