Two pythons caught, safely released after unsettling villagers

Two pythons were successfully captured and released into a forest area after causing a scare among villagers.

The incident took place in the Bina-Etawa district of Madhya Pradesh, central India, on December 27.

Visuals show the massive python lying still on the ground as the snake catcher and his colleagues surround it. The snake catcher carefully gripped the python by the mouth and placed it into a jute bag. Later that evening, the snake was released into the forest.

According to reports, upon receiving the alert, local forest department staff and a rescue team from Sagar arrived at the scene. After three hours of effort, the team successfully captured both pythons. One measured around 14-15 feet and weighed approximately 75kg, while the other was about six feet long. Bablu Pawar, the rescue team leader, explained that the python hunts at night and attacks suddenly when an opportunity arises. The area where the pythons were found is a frequent spot for parking.
