Toddler saved by officials after getting head trapped in pot during play

A toddler was rescued by the fire department after a pot became jammed on her head while she was playing, sparking a swift response to free her safely.
The incident took place in Sultan Bathery town in Wayanad district of Kerala, southern India on December 17.
Visuals show fire officials arriving at the scene and carefully examining the pot stuck on the child’s head, while her guardian held her in his arms. The child cried in fear and distress as the fire officials used shears to cut the pot and free her safely. Demonstrating dedication and skill, the fire department managed to cut through the pot and rescue the girl without harm.
Speaking to Newslions, Nidheesh Pazhery, Fire and Rescue Station Officer at Sultan Bathery in Wayanad, explained that the incident occurred around 12:30 pm and took 8–10 minutes to resolve. The girl, a two-year-old tribal child, lived in a house 8 km from the Sultan Bathery fire station. Under his leadership, the team promptly responded and used shears to remove the pot, successfully completing the rescue.
