Heroic official rescues woman trapped while boarding moving train at platform
A heroic Railway Police Force official acted swiftly to rescue a woman trapped while boarding a moving train at the platform, saving her life and preventing a potential tragedy.
The incident took place at Platform 2, Gaya railway station in Gaya district, Bihar, northern India on December 14.

Visuals show the train in motion as the woman is seen being dragged between the platform and the moving train. She was swiftly rescued on the spot by the RPF official and brought to safety.

According to reports, the Poorva Express had departed from the platform and was moving slowly when an elderly passenger attempted to board the moving train. She lost her balance and became stuck on the door handle of the train, nearly falling into the gap between the platform and the train.

At that moment, RPF Head Constable Mukesh Kumar acted swiftly, pulling the woman to safety on the platform. The woman, identified as Kanchan Mala, a resident of Tikari, was traveling to Dhanbad with her grandson, Akash Kumar. RPF Inspector Ajay Prakash commended Head Constable Mukesh Kumar for his timely and decisive action, which saved the woman’s life. A recommendation has been made to honor him for his bravery.
