Speeding car collides with horse-drawn carriage, tossing horse soaring through the air

The incident took place on the Delhi-Saharanpur highway in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh on December 9.
The visual shows regular traffic flowing on the road when a horse-drawn carriage suddenly veers onto the roadway. At that moment, a fast-moving car from behind strikes the carriage. The impact sends the horse soaring into the air, causing panic as bystanders scream in shock.
According to reports, tragically, the horse died as a result of the crash, while around eight people were injured by the impact. The driver, Naresh Rana, a resident of Kheda Hatana, was returning with his wife Renu and children from a wedding in Delhi when the car hit the horse-drawn carriage near Niwada village, before colliding with a truck. Naresh, his wife, and their relatives Akanksha, Pranjal, and Rashmi sustained serious injuries. Three individuals riding the carriage—Salim, Rashid, and Gurmat—were also severely hurt. With the help of locals and police, all the injured were taken to the hospital. Naresh and his wife were referred to a Delhi hospital due to their critical condition. Authorities have moved the wrecked vehicles off the road and initiated an investigation into the incident. The accident occurred near the city police station in Gauripur village.
