Buffalo Rampage at Eastern India Livestock Fair Leaves Over 5 Injured
A buffalo, untethered from its rope, caused panic and chaos at the fish and livestock fair held in eastern India’s Odisha leaving over five people injured in its wake.
The incident took place at the Haveli Ground in Khordha on November 20.
Visuals showed the buffalo attacked multiple stalls and individuals, disrupting the fair’s activities. Organizers and local authorities struggled to control the animal for over an hour before it was finally restrained.
Among the injured were vendors, fairgoers, and volunteers, all of whom sustained minor injuries, though none were reported to be in critical condition.
The chaos has raised concerns about the safety protocols at such events. Officials promised to take stricter measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
