1500-kg buffalo from northern India becomes a sensation with astounding valuation of USD 27,24,284
A 1,500-kilogram buffalo has become a sensation in northern India, drawing attention with its massive size and an astounding valuation of USD 27,24,284 (Rs 23 crore).
The buffalo captured the attention of the public at the Pushkar Mela held in Ajmer district, Rajasthan, from November 9 to November 15.
Visuals showed the buffalo becoming the star attraction at the fair as crowds gathered to admire its impressive stature. Its gleaming coat and striking physical features made it the highlight of the event, standing out among other animals on display.
According to reports, the buffalo, named Anmol, is an eight-year-old who has gained fame beyond the Pushkar Mela, making appearances at prestigious events like the All-India Farmers’ Fair in Meerut.
Anmol’s appeal extends beyond his physical traits. His semen, priced at Rs 250 per extraction, is highly sought after for breeding purposes, capable of producing 300 to 900 cattle per extraction. This demand generates a monthly income of Rs 4-5 lakh for his owner, Gill. Maintaining Anmol involves a daily expense of Rs 1,500 for a luxurious diet that includes dry fruits, pomegranates, bananas, milk, eggs, and supplements like oil cake, green fodder, and desi ghee. Additionally, Anmol enjoys twice-daily baths with a special almond and mustard oil mixture to ensure his glowing appearance and health.
Despite receiving offers of USD 27,24,284 (Rs 23 crore), Gill treats Anmol like a brother and has no intention of parting with his prized buffalo.
