In a challenging rescue operation in eastern India’s Odisha, a truck driver was saved after his vehicle met with an accident in the rugged terrain of Kalinga Ghati.

The incident took place in Kalinga Ghati region of Kandhamal district and the video went viral on November 13.

Visuals showed the driver trapped in the collapsed truck cabin, visibly distressed, hurt, and semi-conscious. Rescue team personnel worked swiftly to cut through the crushed vehicle and reach him, carefully maneuvering to ensure his safety.

According to rescue teams from Phulbani, G.Udaygiri, and Tikabali fire stations, the driver was trapped in the cabin, requiring them to cut through the obstruction. Once freed, he was transported to a hospital for further treatment. This incident has raised concerns among locals, underscoring the risks posed by the steep and treacherous roads of Kalinga Ghati.
