Fire engulfs textile factory in central India, firefighters battle blaze amid chaos

In a dramatic incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, a fire broke out at the Hanuman Sizing factory, engulfing the facility in flames.
The incident took place in Hanuman Sizing Factory in the Alamganj area of Burhanpur district on November 1.
Visuals showed the furious fire blazing from the entire factory in the evening hours, creating a dangerous scene. Firefighters worked tirelessly to control the inferno while administrative personnel assessed the situation, and workers narrated their experiences of the incident.
According to reports, the cause of the fire remains unknown, resulting in the destruction of goods worth lakhs. More than half a dozen firefighters arrived promptly to manage the rapidly spreading flames. Following the alert, several fire tenders rushed to the scene, engaging in a challenging firefighting operation. Municipal Corporation Commissioner of Burhanpur, Sandeep Shrivastava, confirmed that the fire was largely under control and that some nearby houses had been evacuated as a safety precaution.
Allegedly, Sandeep Shrivastava stated, “A fire broke out in a textile factory in Alamganj of the Ganpati Naka police station area of Burhanpur. Initially, two fire tenders rushed to the spot, followed by around 10 fire tenders involved in the firefighting operation for the last 2.5 hours, with four tankers providing backup support. The fire is very much under control, and some houses have been evacuated due to the residential area nearby.”
