Politician abuses her 81-year-old elderly father-in-law in northern India
by Ekta ChaubeyIn a troubling video from Punjab, northern India, Tara Bai, also known as Alias Margaret DSouza, is seen allegedly mistreating her 81-year-old father-in-law, Mr. Jan Vijay Singh.
The incident, which occurred on July 17 in Patiala district, gained widespread attention after going viral on October 30.
Visuals showed, Tara Bai appears to be on a video call, verbally berating her father-in-law. Although some of her words are indistinct, they appear to provoke Mr. Singh, who, in frustration, attempts to knock her phone away. Tara then retrieves her phone, pushing her father-in-law aside with apparent disregard for his well-being, and leaves the kitchen as he is left to make his own tea. She later returns, yanking kitchen utensils from his hands before exiting again, seemingly indifferent to her actions’ effect on the elderly man.
Reports indicate that Tara Bai serves as the BJP Block President in Patiala.
