14-month-old baby kidnapped in southern India; special police teams launched in search
In a tragic incident in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, a 14-month-old baby was abducted from his home while under his mother’s care.
The incident took place at Vengalarao Nagar, Kavali town in Nellore district on October 28.
Visuals showed a woman was seen walking along the road before she entered the child’s home. Moments later, she lifted the baby from the cradle, held him in her arms, and quickly left the scene.
Teja’s father, Suryanarayana, a beldhar by profession, had been away for work in Hyderabad for the past ten days, leaving Teja in the care of his mother, Pallapu Rajeshwari.
According to reports Pallapu Rajeshwari had placed Teja in a cradle at home and stepped away briefly to take a bath. Upon her return, she found the cradle empty, and Teja was nowhere to be seen. In a panic, she contacted local authorities, and a case was quickly filed at the Kavali Second Town Police Station.
After reviewing CCTV footage from the neighborhood, police officials observed an unidentified woman abducting the child from the residence. The authorities have launched an extensive search operation, deploying special teams to locate the woman and bring Teja back to his family. Teja’s mother is in distress, and the local community has rallied to support the family during this troubling time.
