Cow saved from filthy drain in central India, caretakers execute daring rescue

In a remarkable incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, a cow was safely rescued from a dirty drain with the help of dedicated cow caretakers.

The incident took place in Shahdol district on October 27.

Visuals showed the cow struggling in the filthy water. One rescuer bravely descended into the drain, securing a rope around the cow’s neck to lift her out, while others stood above, pulling her to safety.

Speaking to Newslions, Gaurav Rahli Mishra from Atal Kamdhenu Gausewa Sansthan led the rescue operation, which spanned from 01:19 AM to 01:26 PM. He noted that cow caretakers Vinayak Ajay Sondhiya and Rahul Kevat played vital roles in the successful rescue, showcasing the community’s commitment to animal welfare.
