6-foot cobra seen slithering in central India hospital, patients gripped by fear
In a startling event in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, a 6-foot-long cobra was spotted roaming inside the hospital, causing alarm among patients and staff.
The incident took place in Biaora Civil Hospital in the Rajgarh district on October 25.
Visuals showed the snake catcher handling the snake with remarkable care and calm, while onlookers, including staff and patients, watched in both fascination and fear.
According to reports, Mumtaz, who was accompanying a patient, first noticed the cobra on the hospital floor and immediately alerted her son-in-law and hospital staff. Until the snake was safely removed, it was closely monitored as it slithered across the hospital floor, eventually crawling into a generator. Called by the hospital staff, snake catcher Balu Sharma arrived promptly, expertly rescuing the cobra and releasing it into the nearby forest.
Due to the hospital’s location near open ground, incidents involving snakes and other wildlife are not uncommon, leaving staff and visitors in frequent apprehension.
