High-speed car hits auto in northern India, driver critically injured
A high-speed car collision in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh left an auto-rickshaw driver critically injured and a passenger hurt. Police are investigating the case using CCTV footage to track down the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
The incident took place at Century Marg in Sector 100, Noida on October 24.
Visuals showed the violent impact that sent the auto-rickshaw flying into the air. The auto driver and a passenger were thrown from the vehicle onto the road.
The driver of the auto sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains serious. The passenger involved in the accident also suffered injuries, though they are reported to be in stable condition.
The driver of the car fled the scene without offering assistance. Noida Police have launched a search operation and are currently examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and locate the accused driver. Authorities have assured the public that they are taking the case seriously and expect to make an arrest soon.
This incident has once again raised concerns over road safety and the growing number of reckless driving cases in Noida.
