In a unique incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, an accused individual was seen saluting the national flag 21 times while chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ as part of a court-mandated bail condition.

The incident took place at Misrod police station in Bhopal district on October 22.

Visuals showed the accused standing before the police station, saluting the tricolor with dedication while chanting the slogan, as police personnel stood by to monitor the situation.

According to reports, a Bhopal resident named Faizan alias Faizal, who was charged with raising pro-Pakistan slogans, was granted bail by the Madhya Pradesh High Court under the condition that he appear at the police station twice a month to salute the national flag and chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ 21 times. Faizan will continue doing so every Tuesday and Friday until the case concludes.

Faizan, who runs a puncture repair shop in Misrod, had been in custody since May 17 after a video of him shouting anti-national slogans circulated on social media. He was charged under section 153B for statements prejudicial to national integration. His counsel admitted his actions but sought bail with strict conditions. Allegedly, Faizan had expressed deep regret for his actions and is determined to follow the court’s directives.
