Two coaches along with parcel van derail in western India, passengers unharmed

In a sudden incident in western India’s Maharashtra, two coaches and a parcel van of the CMST Shalimar Express derailed without causing any harm to passengers.
The incident took place near Kalamna station in Nagpur district on October 22.
Visuals showed railway authorities actively working on the tracks to fix the derailment while other staff monitored the situation. A few concerned passengers were also spotted standing near the tracks, observing the repairs.
According to reports, the train’s two coaches, S2 and a parcel van, were derailed near Kalamna station, confirmed Dilip Singh, Sr DCM South East Central Railway. Fortunately, no passengers were injured in this incident. The railway administration has launched a helpline and provided basic amenities to the passengers as efforts continue to ensure that they reach their destinations safely. There were no reports of fatalities or severe damage in the incident.
