Man injured fatally after jumping from hotel to escape dog in southern India
In a tragic incident in southern India’s Telangana, a man sustained fatal injuries after leaping from a hotel window in an attempt to escape a dog.
The incident took place in Chandanagar of Hyderabad district on October 21.
Visuals showed a man confronting a dog that was roaming the corridor. As the dog began chasing him, panic set in, and he jumped out of a third-floor window to evade it. Meanwhile, the dog ran in the opposite direction down the corridor. Another individual rushed to the window just as the man jumped, quickly moving to assist him. Moments later, others gathered around the window, alarmed by the unfolding scene.
According to reports, the victim has been identified as Uday, originally from Tenali in Andhra Pradesh and residing in Ashoknagar. He had visited the hotel with friends on Sunday, October 22. Upon reaching the third floor, he exited the lift and stepped onto the balcony when the dog began chasing him. In a state of panic, he jumped to the ground below.
He suffered severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Further investigation is ongoing.
