Attention diversion gang strikes in southern India, five victims lose mobile phones in rapid theft
In a swift and well-coordinated theft in southern India’s Telangana, a three-member gang made away with mobile phones from five unsuspecting individuals.
The incident took place in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district on October 20.

Visuals showed two offenders visiting a local shop, where one cleverly distracted a customer by claiming that a currency note had fallen. When the unsuspecting victim bent down to retrieve the note, the thief stealthily slipped the mobile phone from the victim’s pocket and calmly walked away. The second accomplice followed closely behind, and both fled the scene on a motorcycle, joined by a third member who had been waiting nearby.

According to reports, police registered cases and have launched an investigation into the incident.
