Tigress with cubs crosses road in northern India, frequent sightings cause fear
In a striking incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a tigress was spotted walking along the road with her three cubs, causing a stir among locals.
The incident took place on the Kukra-Banke Ganj road in Lakhimpur Kheri district on October 18.
Visuals showed the tigress emerging from the bushes with her cubs. As they began crossing the road, two cubs lagged behind, prompting the tigress to carry one cub in her mouth while the other two followed closely.
According to reports, the road was blocked for about three minutes as the tigress and her cubs crossed safely. The area has seen frequent tiger sightings, sparking fear among residents. Locals noted that tigers often roam the route between the Lohia bridge and a nearby petrol pump, causing regular disruptions. DFS South officer Sanjay Biswal stated that as this road passes through a forest, encounters with wildlife are not uncommon, advising travelers to remain cautious in the area.
