Major sparks erupt as live wire bulges in rainwater on street in southern India

The incident took place in Chennai city and the video went viral on October 15
Visuals showed the wire lying dangerously in the deluge, emitting sparks as it interacted with the water.
According to reports, heavy rains lashed Chennai on Tuesday morning, leading to extensive water accumulation. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued warnings for moderate thunderstorms and lightning across several areas in Chennai and Thiruvallur districts until 10 am. They also alerted residents about the possibility of light rains and isolated thunderstorms in Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram districts.
