Man suffers cardiac arrest on stage during theatrical performance in northern India

In a tragic incident in northern India’s Delhi, a 45-year-old man collapsed on stage while performing the role of Lord Rama during a Ramlila program.

The incident took place in Vishwakarma Nagar of Shahdara district on October 5.

 

Visuals showed the man, playing Lord Rama, performing alongside other actors when he suddenly clutched his chest and moved behind the stage, appearing uneasy. Moments later, he collapsed offstage.

 

 

According to reports, the man, identified as Sushil Kaushik, was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Kaushik, who worked as a property dealer, was participating in the event as part of a local community performance. His sudden death shocked the attendees and fellow performers.
