In a heartwarming incident in central India’s Chattisgarh, a snake rescuer bravely saved a severely injured rat snake trapped in a basin strainer.

The incident took place in Bilaspur district and the video went viral on October 4.

Visuals showed a rat snake in distress, its body wounded from being ensnared in the strainer. A female snake catcher carefully held the snake while her colleague worked to remove the strainer from its body. The strainer left a significant cut, which was visibly distressing. The lady rescuer continued to support the snake as the other catcher applied turmeric powder to the wound and wrapped it with medical tape.

According to reports, this snake catcher frequently performs such courageous rescues, demonstrating a deep commitment to the welfare of snakes. During this incident, the catcher expressed particular concern for the snake’s severe injuries, highlighting the emotional investment involved in such rescues.
