In a shocking incident in southern India’s Telangana, journalist Chiluka Praveen was severely injured after allegedly being attacked by Congress supporters.

The incident took place at Yashoda Hospital in the Somajiguda area of Hyderabad district on October 3.

Visuals showed the chaotic scuffle unfolding in the hospital corridor, with concerned hospital staff watching the violent confrontation.

According to reports, following the attack, Praveen, known for his critical stance on government issues, was hospitalized at Yashoda Hospital. A scuffle broke out between the group visiting Praveen and hospital security, escalating tensions during the visit. Former Minister and Suryapet MLA Jagadish Reddy, accompanied by former MLAs Dr. Gadari Kishore Kumar and Budida Bixamaiah Goud, visited the hospital to check on Praveen’s condition and ensure he received the best possible medical care.

The attack on Praveen sparked widespread condemnation, including a strong statement from BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao. KTR took to Twitter to express his outrage, questioning the state of governance and labeling the incident as an attack on democracy. He emphasized that journalists like Praveen play a crucial role in voicing concerns of marginalized communities and demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers.
