Firefighters rescue massive king cobra from government office in southern India

In a dramatic incident in southern India’s Karnataka, firefighters rescued a king cobra that had taken refuge in a government office, sending shockwaves through the area.

The incident took place at Bihar Bhawan in the Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi district on October 1.

Visuals showed the fire brigade team rescuing the king cobra from the branches of a tree using specialized tools, carefully lowering it to the ground while ensuring safety. The sight of the more than 10-foot-long snake created a sense of fear among employees and passers-by, prompting immediate action from authorities.

According to reports, the building was promptly evacuated after the snake was spotted. Security measures were established on the scene, and a team of experts was called in. It took hours of struggle to catch the cobra safely. Thankfully, due to the quick response of the officials, no injuries or fatalities were reported, allowing everyone to breathe a sigh of relief amidst the tension.
