The shop, rustic and crowded, has a vendor preparing the drink with stained hands and bare feet. As the day progresses, Sam starts to feel unwell. That night, his excitement turns into discomfort as he experiences severe vomiting. In the early hours, he’s rushed to a local hospital, lying on a hospital bed, visibly distressed, and sharing with his followers that the Lassi caused his condition.
According to reports British influencer Sam Pepper, known for his online pranks and travel content, faced a severe health crisis during his recent trip to India.
Pepper revealed that he had tried Bhang Lassi, a traditional Indian drink containing cannabis, from a street vendor. He described his initial excitement about the experience but soon after, his condition deteriorated.
Pepper was rushed to a local hospital where he was treated for intense discomfort and panic. The influencer, who had also smoked cannabis after drinking the Bhang Lassi, admitted in a follow-up video that trying the street drink was a mistake. He expressed regret, sharing that the vendor’s hygiene was questionable, as the elderly man preparing the drink had dirty feet and hands.
This incident serves as a reminder that trying unfamiliar substances, especially from street vendors, can lead to unforeseen health risks. Sam Pepper has since halted his trip and is recovering from the experience. According to reports, Pepper flew to Bangkok to get himself treated.
